Felix Muimi Kilumbutu
I am a Chief Industrial Development Officer at the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives deployed at the department of Vision 2030 Manufacturing sector. My role is to promote and facilitate the process of industrialization through implementation of polices, programs and projects focusing on accelerated industrial growth. My specific roles include developing and implementing business development services programmes, Undertaking monitoring and evaluation on the implementation of the industrial projects and programmes, identifying, reviewing, analyzing data and preparing industrial reports on industries requiring support, Analyzing data related to industrial production , investment, local raw materials resources ,efficient technology , employment, efficiency and marketing, disseminating industrial information to stakeholders, identifying and documenting indigenous technologies, linking indigenous entrepreneurs with research and development, protection of inventions , counterfeiting and standards institutions for upgrading and commercializing of technologies and associated products. Currently I am involved with the implementation of the vision 2030 flagship projects under the manufacturing sector.
As for my education background, I Graduated from Egerton University (Kenya) with a Bachelor of Science Degree (Biochemistry/Chemistry), and Ritsumeikan University (Japan) with a Master of Science (Bioinformatics). I have also pursued various short courses both locally and internationally to enhance my knowledge.
